Max Fine

Max Fine is the upper limit, or cap, of the fine for an overdue copy. If a returned copy has accrued a very large overdue fine, only the Max Fine would be assessed.

Also, if you mark a checked-out copy Lost, a lost-copy fine can be assessed. The fine amount is the purchase price from the copy record. If the purchase price is missing, the fine amount assessed is the Max Fine.
