Edit Resource

Catalog > Resource Search > Browse Resources

You can edit any resource from the Edit Resource page.

When resources are assigned the Digital Material - Auto Circ (never barcode) instructional classification:

  • Resources are automatically checked out if they are assigned to class sections.
  • Links to the digital resources appear in My Info.
  • Resources are automatically checked in on the due date; this occurs during the Destiny's nightly run.

Note: To identify a title as an eTextbook, it must be assigned an Electronic Book (eBook) material type and Digital Material (never barcode) instructional classification.

To edit a resource

  1. If you are not on the Resource Search page, then follow the steps in the blue title bar.
  2. Select a template.
  3. Find the resource you want, and then click Details.
  4. Click Edit. The Edit Resource page appears.
  5. From the Instructional Classification drop-down, select the appropriate classification.
  6. Make other changes, as needed.

    Note: If the resource has any barcoded items, the Instructional Classification options for digital materials are not available.

  7. If none of the listed instructional classifications apply, click Other… to define a new one. See Manage Instructional Classifications.
  8. When you are done, click Save. The Resource Details tab reflects the selected instructional classification.
Region Format support

To select a different Region Format

Region format includes currency, date (dd/mm/yyyy), and time. Examples include United States Dollar (USD) and English (United Kingdom).

  1. Log in as DestinyAdmin.
  2. Select Setup > Sites.
  3. Find your district, and then click . The Update District Sites page appears.
  4. Use the Region Format drop-down to select the applicable format.

After you perform these steps, the currency symbol of the selected region appears.
