Add Title Record (Library Manager)

In Destiny, it is recommended that you first search for a record before adding a title record. The search is to verify there is not an existing record in your collection, Alliance Plus® Online, or a Z39.50 server that meets your needs or only requires minor modifications.

1. Select Catalog > Add Title > Check Sources sub-tab.
2. Click Add the Title. The Add Title page opens with either the MARC Editor or Easy Editor displayed.
3. In either the MARC Editor or Easy Editor, populate the various fields with information about the material you are cataloging. Both Editors include help for most of the fields.

   Note: Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required. Including more information in each field makes it easier for your patrons to find the material they are searching for.

4. If you are in the MARC Editor or the Easy Editor and want to check your punctuation on save, select the Check punctuation on Save checkbox.
5. When you are done, click Save Title.
